The sad thing is whether Burgos hit them intentionally or not he doesn't seem to feel bad at all. He was quoted saying,
"I am going to come out of this fine because my conscience is clear, and I'm not
worried that this will affect my career because I haven't done anything."
Well I don't know about you but if I hit somebody by accident and they died, I would feel absolutely terrible even though it wasn't my fault. He actually tried saying that he wasn't even the driver. He claims that he was in the back seat and his cousin was driving. Well if that was true then why would he flee the seen then? His actions and his words just don't see eye to eye. He even goes as far as saying that people are exaggerating things because he is the only Major League pitcher from Nagua.
This isn't the only trouble that Burgos has gotten into. He also faces assault and harassment charges in New York for throwing his girlfriend to the ground. But that's not all folks. He faces another illegal weapon possession charge.
As a sports fan I am so tired of tuning in to sports center and seeing things about athletes going to jail for stupid stuff. As a professional athlete, little kids are looking up to you whether you know it or not. What kind of example are you setting for these kids who want to be like you and do what you do?

I totally agree with you. Some of these athlete just think they are so great they are above the law. It really makes me mad because they have so much talent and they go and waste it because they do something stupid like this. It makes me sick.
