Beckham's AC Milan loan to be a little more permanent?

Could Beck's loan to AC Milan be the start of a little more permanent role? Rumor has it that Beckham is ready to turn his back on the Los Angeles Galaxy, probably because his first season was injury riddled and the second season was a complete failure. But really who knows? Considering he signed a 5 year contract and that the majory of his 250 million contract is mainly endorsements, so I don't see how he could get out of that, but it is not that hard to make an arguement that we could see Beckham leaving for Italy permanetly.

The main reason Beckham wanted the Milan loan was to keep fit and active in the MLS closed season in order to be considered for England selection. Playing in Serie A is obviously a better workout so that he can become in better playing condition than what he was during the MLS season.

Secondly, financial. One of the main reasons people believe Beckham went to the MLS was that attractive five-year contract worth up to 250 million. The big misunderstanding around that figure was that it was not a basic salary but also included endorsements. The 250 million figure was pretty much to attract people's attention to his arrival and the MLS, but I am pretty sure that him and his wife can easily make due wherever they go.

Thirdly, familial. Neither him, his wife, or his kids speak Italian. Did that stop him from playing for Real Madrid in Spain? Nope. Anyway, he can take me, I've always wanted to speak Italian. In LA he is around 10 hours away from his family in the UK, but if he was to go to Italy he would be about 2 hours by jet away from his family.

But one of the main reasons Beck's was so excited to play for the MLS was to bring popularity to Amercia for the sport he loves. Italians are already maniacs for soccer and has one of the best international teams in the world. But he is trying to make it to the World Cup in 2010, and him playing in the MLS probably lessens his chances to make the England squad.
