They've played nine games and they are still perfect. The Tennessee Titans are the best team in football and they showed why again this Sunday. Even when things weren't working on all cylinders, they came out of Chicago with a win.
When i say that things weren't working on all cylinders i mean their bread and butter, their rushing offense. Running the football has led them to where they are now but they couldn't find it on Sunday. They ran 29 times for a total of 20 yards. Only 20 yards from the team that has been averaging 149 yards per game. That's good enough for 3rd in the NFL. Kerry Collins actually had to make plays today, and he showed, gray beard and all, that he can still do it. He picked apart the Bears secondary for 289 yards, more than anyone would expect from him. He's at the stage in his career where he is now a game manager, not a playmaker. He is supposed to make simple passes and hand the ball off. Instead, he made it look like the Bears didn't even have a secondary out there. Their defense played average. They let the Bears get some big plays but they also made some nice plays on some of Rex Grossman's passes in crunch time. They played well when they had to and they did a great job of using the consistenly poor field position of the Bears to their advantage.
This Titans team scares me now. They took the field in Chicago today and made a statement. They can win any way now. They can run the ball all over you and win. They can have no running game but Kerry Collins can win the game for you. And, even when their defense isn't playing as good as it can, they can beat you. I was unsure about them being the best team in the NFL even though they were undefeated but now, i know they are the best. They are so good in every facet of the game and even when they aren't at their best, they can beat you.

I think the Giants are the best team in the league. They have more playmakers than the Titans do and they are beating some pretty good teams. With players like Eli Manning, Plaxico Burress, and Brandon Jacobs, the Giants are tough to stop and on defense they are constantly pressuring the quarterback. Right now, I think the G-Men are the team to beat.
