No Beckham means no game in Australia

The proposed loan of David Beckham to AC Milan prompted the Los Angeles Galaxy to postpone its Dec. 11 game against an Australian team. The Major League Soccer club said it could not guarantee that Beckham would play in the exhibition game against Queensland Roar in Brisbane.
"To avoid disappointment for the many fans that were expected to travel to Brisbane from all parts of Australia, it was decided to postpone this game before tickets went on sale to the general public," Galaxy business operations president Tom Payne said.

The Galaxy are still scheduled with a Dec. 6 game against an Oceania All-Star team in Auckland, New Zealand, and organizers will try to reschedule the game against A-League club Queensland Roar. Beckham scored with a trademark, curling free kick in the Galaxy's 5-3 loss to Sydney FC at a packed Olympic stadium in Australia's biggest city last November.

Seems like the Galaxy do want to do anything with out Beckham these days. I guess I cannot really blame them. Afterall they did have an absolute embarrassing season with Beckham, So I can only imagine what the game would be like without him. I guess it's just better to save their time and just call it off.

So I was reading about Beckham these days and I just think that maybe its not Galaxy that had a bad season, it was Beckham. He was brought to the states to in order to make soccer here as famous and important as it is in Europe. He has achieved this, but what he hasnt done is bring that English soccer glamour to Galaxy. I mean he was injured for many of the games and they for the ones that he did play he just wasnt like the old Beckham. I think that the fact that he will train with AC Milan now will actually be for his benefit. Maybe playing with some of the worlds best players will bring back his own talent.
